Ms. Yushi Peng is a distinguished attorney-at-law and patent agent at Watson & Band Law Offices' Shanghai headquarters. She holds LLB degrees from China University of Political Science and Law, LLM degrees from Cornell University, and a BE degree in computer science. Ms. Peng became a qualified lawyer in 2017 and a patent attroeny in China in 2023. 

With her unique combination of legal expertise and technical knowledge, Ms. Peng offers clients a comprehensive approach to intellectual property matters and dispute resolution. Her diverse educational background, spanning law and computer science, coupled with her experience as both in-house counsel and a litigator, positions her as a versatile and invaluable asset to clients navigating complex legal challenges in the rapidly evolving tech and IP landscape. 

Ms. Peng's practice encompasses a wide range of legal services, with a particular focus on:

Before joining Watson & Band in 2019, Ms. Peng served as the permanent legal advisor for several prominent domestic enterprises, including:

  • Hangzhou Longqi Technology Company Ltd.

  • Shanghai Lanque Television Culture Company Ltd. 

This experience provided Ms. Peng with valuable insights into the day-to-day legal challenges faced by businesses, enhancing her ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions. 

Since 2019, Ms. Peng has successfully represented numerous domestic and foreign enterprises in patent disputes, including an invention patent infringement dispute for Epoch Inc. against a company in Zhejiang, and an invention and design patent infringement dispute for Seiko Corporation against a company in Ningbo. 

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Peng is actively engaged in scholarly research within the intellectual property field. She has authored several essays on critical issues, including "On the Definition of the Original Usage Scope in Priority Right of Trademark", "Introducing the Paragraph IV Patent Certification of the Hatch-Waxman Act in China", and "An Analysis of the Legal Issue in the Use Invention Patent Application of Remdesivir by Wuhan Institute of Virology".
